President Pahor met with Pope Francis and Italian President Mattarella, which were friendly and useful meetings

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, is in Rome, where he met today for bilateral talks with the President of the Republic of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. President Mattarella hosted President Pahor at a working lunch. This is a continuation of excellent mutual and international relations between the statesmen and the two countries. They discussed bilateral and current European topics. They discussed the future of the EU and exchanged opinions on other current international issues.

During the visit to Rome, Pope Francis held a private audience today for the missionary Pedro Opeka, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, and Prince Albert II.

Today, at the new offices of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Rome, President Pahor met Senator Tatjana Rojc, who was elected in the parliamentary elections in Italy this March.
