President Pahor receives Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Waszczykowski

The President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, today received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Witold Waszczykowski, who is on an official visit to Slovenia.

President Pahor and Minister Waszczykowski asserted that Slovenia and Poland have very good and friendly bilateral relations. President Pahor said to his guest that Slovenia would like to strengthen its cooperation with Poland at the bilateral, regional and multilateral levels, and expressed his satisfaction that the two countries maintain a good and regular political dialogue.

Among other topics President Pahor and Minister Waszczykowski discussed the future of the European Union, Great Britain’s exit from the EU and the challenges of the Euro-Atlantic region. President Pahor assured Minister Waszczykowski that Slovenia remains committed to the further integration of the EU, while the Polish Minister said that he also advocates the initiation of discussion on the EU reform in parallel to the Brexit negotiations.
