President Borut Pahor sends letter of condolence to Austrian President Van der Bellen

After yesterday’s terrorist attack in Vienna, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, sent a letter of condolence to the President of the Republic of Austria, Dr Alexander Van der Bellen. In his letter of condolence President Pahor wrote:

“Dear Mr President,

The news of last night’s terrorist attacks in the centre of Vienna shocked and deeply affected me.

In these shocking and painful moments for Austria, I express my sincere condolences on behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Slovenia and on my own behalf. We dedicate our thoughts and express our deepest sympathy to the victims and their loved ones.

We strongly condemn all acts of violence against democracy and fundamental freedoms. In our efforts for democracy and freedom, we express solidarity with the Republic of Austria and its citizens.

Please accept, Mr President, the assurance of my highest consideration.”
